These 25 gm² sheets conceived for guarding tissues are also suitable for fine woodblock engraving and 'Colle chiné'. They are made in both laid and wove styles and are dry pack pressed to give a 'satin' surface.
The papers are made from a cotton and linen blend, which is beaten for at least 8 hours in the hollander beater to achieve the high water retention necessary to enable the sheet to be formed on the mould.A minimum of colouring is added to aid visibility when handling wet sheets.
